It is of great pleasure for me to submit this report with regard to the poster presentation competition organized by the BCF College of Physiotherapy, a unit of Bahuleyan Charitable Foundation. BCF College of Physiotherapy is committed in providing the students with the best academic experience and to materialize this goal. The scientific program committee has organized the yearly poster presentation competition which provides ample opportunities for students to consolidate their academic standards and to promote proactiveness and self confidence.
As part of the curriculum development program, scientific program committee of BCF College of Physiotherapy, with Mr.Sharad K.S Principal ,BCF College of Physiotherapy as the chairman and Mr.Rojomon T.C as program Coordinator along with the faculty members and members of Student Physiotherapy Association (SPA) organized a poster presentation competition which was held on 10/05/2011 at College auditorium.The Program was inaugurated by Dr.Kumar Bahuleyan, Founder of Bahuleyan Charitable Foundation.
It was an occasion with the esteemed presence of Colonel Rajeevv Mannali Managing Director BCF India, Dr.S.Letha Medical Superintendent Indo – American Hospital and an eminent panel of judges including Dr.M.J.Sebastian ProjectDirector)BCFInstitutions,Dr.M.M.Raveendranath(ChiefMedicalOfficer)Community Development Centre Mr.Reji Mathew, Head of Physiotherapy Department Indo – American Hospital and Mrs.Nisha Wilson ,Vice – Principal BCF College of Nursing.
It was an exclusive scientific poster presentation competition for 1st year BPT students and there were three group participants named RYNALE,MEDICO WIZARDS & AERO each group consisted of 10 students. The main attraction of the competition was relevant topic selection by the students. On same day afternoon by 2 PM. The result was announced by the principal Mr.Sharad K.S and winners are team AERO and MEDICO WIZARDS, the first runner up followed by team RYNALE, holding the third position.
The main highlight as well as the ultimate accolade of the event was the valuable comment from the Chief guest Dr.Kumar Bahuleyan. He was totally impressed by the students’ performance and rated it as excellent and ensured his support for conducting such programmes in the coming years. Last but not least, the participation of teaching, non teaching staff and members of SPA are worth mentioning, without them this would not have been a success. I thank everyone who extended their support for making this program a great success.
To conclude, as the program coordinator with a great sense of contentment, I can proudly say this program is a stepping stone and would be an inspiration to achieve great hikes in future.
